ONE-ON-ONE LESSONS

Why should I do this course?

Because this is a private course and the classes are organized flexibly to meet each student’s specific needs. Aiming at level gain, improvement of listening comprehension, oral understanding, written production and reading skills.

 

What should I expect from classes?

These classes are private and cover grammatical topics, vocabulary, adequacy of correct pronunciation, listening comprehension, contextualizing the use of words and reading texts when applicable at the level. Students will learn using content applicable to their level.

 

Where am I going to attend my classes?

It will take place in the city of Olinda, northeast of Brazil. In an individual, air-conditioned classroom, (located in Praia do Quartel, Olinda). Sometimes the teacher will invite you to a field class in a café or visits places of cultural interest, so that you can enjoy the atmosphere, vibe and beauty of the city.

How long is the course?

The length of the course depends on your objective and available time to study. Starting with a minimum of one week of classes, we can organize it as follows.

 

INTENSIVE:

Each class lasts 4 hours, with 2 breaks of 15 minutes. It will be from Monday to Friday, starting from 8am until 12pm (20 lessons per week).

 

FLEXIBLE:

We can arrange classes according to your time and budget. A frequently requested schedule is with classes that take place twice a week, with 2 hours each day (4 hours per week). This is perfect for long term students.

ONLINE LESSONS

Why should I do this course?

Online classes are very flexible and can be postponed at any time, so you don’t miss a lesson.

You can start learning in your own country before traveling to Brazil, or you can also take the entire course online.

 

How long is the course?

For online classes it is preferable to have up to 2 hours in a single session per day, more than that is counterproductive.

Scheduling is flexible, for example 3 times a week, one hour a day from Monday to Friday, etc. This will be decided according to your own availability and language goals.

 

What should I expect from classes?

To make the most of online classes, it is suggested to use a computer instead of a cell phone. We are happy to conduct the class through Skype, we often send exercises in PDF via chat and also use the Skype chat as a blackboard, with the advantage that it is recorded allowing the student to consult it later for self-study.

Where am I going to attend my classes?

Directly from your home, garden, yard, living room, etc. You will be in the comfort of your own home and at the best possible time within your daily schedule.

PREPARATION FOR
CELPE-BRAS EXAM

Why should I do this course?

To achieve a good level in the CELPE-BRAS accreditation.

The CELPE-BRAS exam is a requirement for foreign students who wish to enrol in a Brazilian higher education institution or prove their level of proficiency for professional or visa reasons.

 

What should I expect from classes?

You will do activities extracted from former exam papers from the previous years of the CELPE-BRAS exam.

You will learn how the exam works, what is the applied methodology and everything you need to know in order to achieve a good level in the CELPEBRAS exam.

Please note, enrolling in this course does not register you for the CELPEBRAS exam. This course is designed to prepare you for the exam and does not include the exam itself. 

Where am I going to attend my classes?

This course can be taken in our beautiful town of Olinda, Brazil or it can also be done online.

 

How long is the course?

Starting with at least one week of classes, you can choose for how long you want to study. Longer preparation is recommended, as the more time you dedicate to the preparation, the better your results will be.

 

Who should take this course?

This course is for those who have at least level B2 and have already registered or will enrol in the CELPE-BRAS exam.

WALKING, TALKING
& LEARNING

Why should I do this course?

You will visit places of cultural interest and meet people in the cities of Olinda and Recife. You will gain new vocabulary in a range of contexts in addition to historical and cultural knowledge.

With this experience you will learn through real life and by interacting with people on the streets.

 

What should I expect from classes?

This course will focus on gaining historical and cultural knowledge, conversation practice with native Brazilians, visiting museums, markets, cultural centers and places of cultural interest in the cities of Olinda and Recife.

You will also have some classroom time with your teacher to revise some of the vocabulary and grammatical structures learned, and plan excursions.

 

Where am I going to attend my classes?

At least twice a week you will have classes in the classroom (usually in the morning).

The other 3 days of the week will be dedicated to site visits, these visits will be in the afternoon because not all sites are open in the morning.

 

How long is the course?

Starting with at least one week, you can choose for how long you want to study and enjoy your time immersed in the city.

 

  

Who should take this course?

This course is for people who are active, extrovert, love Brazilian culture and have at least B1 level and like to learn whilst visiting cultural sites.
