Why Olinda?

Olinda is a city that breathes freedom and art.

Come meet our beautiful and warm people who inhabit Olinda.

The city is full of painters, sculptors, poets, graffiti artists, dancers and photographers.

The musicality of Olinda is by far its most enchanting feature. You can turn a corner and find a Frevo orchestra or a group of Maracatu.

Not infrequently you will encounter a group of people gathered just for the pleasure of playing music and singing.

Most bars in the city have live music, locals always join in and you can sing along, if you wish!

The city’s architecture is colonial and marked by vibrant colourful houses.

We have breath-taking hills with rewarding views at the top, beautifully looking out over the Atlantic Ocean.

For its beauty and its historical and cultural value, Olinda was declared a World Heritage Site since 1982, by UNESCO.

You can stay in Olinda and enjoy every corner of this city that never ceases to surprise and inspire us.

Best Carnaval in Brazil

In addition to enjoying the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, if you are in Olinda, you also have access to Recife, the 9th largest city in the country which is only 10 minutes from Olinda.

You will also enjoy the best carnival in Brazil. The street carnival, brings together people of all ages, groups of friends and families, Frevo orchestras, Maracatu and samba groups.

The roots-style carnival made in the streets to the sound of local songs composed especially for this party.

Unlike other cities in Brazil here you don’t need to pay to participate in the biggest festival of the Brazilian culture. However, if you prefer to watch from the top in an open bar, Olinda also has private places where you can watch the greatest show on earth.

Olinda offers exactly what I thought of Brazilian culture. There is a lot of dancing in front of the colored bars, accompanied by Brazilian music and joy of living.
